Orange Mint and Cinnamon Mocktails

The Humble Veggie

Orange mint and cinnamon is a strange combination but god it works so well! Definitely one to try for your next BBQ.




INGREDIENTS (Makes 2)

- Two oranges (squeezed)

- 3 sticks of cinnamon

- 1 aniseed

- Tonic water

- 10 mint leaves

- 2 glasses of ice

- 1 cup of water

- 2 Tsp sugar


METHOD:

  1. In a saucepan boil one cup of water with the aniseed and cinnamon for 5 minutes (until the mixture turns brown). Leave this to cool for 5 minutes

  2. Pour the mixture into a cocktail mixture (or a water bottle if you don't have one!), along with the fresh orange juice, mint and sugar. Shake well

  3. Pour the mixture over ice and top with tonic water, garnish with mint leaves and and orange slice.
